Three Greek destinations you just can't afford to miss

The European continent is full of beautiful destinations - Rome, Croatia, Germany, Portugal and many other countries can easily be found on anyone's bucket list. We, however, would like to talk about Greece today - often under appreciated European destination, that is definitely worth going to for a couple of reasons. First of all, you don't have to rob a bank if you'd like to visit - hotel and food prices are not that expensive here, so you don't have to budget your every day. The second reason is quite obvious too - Greece is full of pristine beaches, pictures of which can often be found on covers of many famous travel magazines. So if you are not a big fan of excursions and active vacations, Greece would be a perfect choice for you. Here are three beaches that, in our humble opinion, every tourist should visit while on his or hers journey to Greece.

Navagio, Zakynthos Island

We'll start our list with a sandy beach of Zakynthos. The truth is, there is a big chance that you have already seen some pictures of it (or at least heard or read about it), but still don't realize what we are talking about. The signature feature of Navagio beach is an old rusty freighter, that has been washed ashore in the eighties. Now being a part of the surroundings, this ship is something that distinguishes this place from many other similar locations. The beach itself is surrounded by cliffs, so you will not be able to just walk here - you'll need to get a boat first. But we can assure you, that getting a yacht charter will be totally worth it - this place is a very definition of secluded beach, so you will not be disappointed.

Elafoníssi Beach, Crete

Greece has also a very special place for all the water sport enthusiast out there - a pink colored Elafoníssi Beach, located on Crete. This has long been a very popular gathering spot among divers, surfers, kiteboarders and other extreme water sport lovers. The views here are stunning as well - bring your cameras and tripods with you, and be ready to catch a setting sun, as it perfectly aligns with mountains. Once you are done riding the waves and taking pictures, it's definitely worth visiting a nearby tavern or two - with all the establishments being run by local citizens, you will have a chance to try some authentic Crete cuisine, that can not be found anywhere else in the world.

Nissi Bay Beach, Ayia Napa, Cyprus

If you have been to Cyprus, then you probably heard about Nissi Bay Beach - it's a pretty famous hotspot among tourists and local audience. And for a pretty simple reason - divided into two parts, this place is half beach/half nightclub, with all the benefits you might think of. So a perfect itinerary is really a no-brainer here - you just need to rent a yacht in Cyprus, and get to the place early, so you have plenty of time to tan and relax. And once the sun sets, the other side of fun begins - you are free to spend the whole night partying on the beach, and you wouldn't even have to move an inch. The place practically transforms into one of the hottest places on the island in just a matter of minutes, and the beach suddenly turns into a nightclub - and if it might not sound impressive, just wait till you get there. It would be totally worth it!
